Agrowisata ini tidak lain adalah suatu jenis pariwisata yang khusus menjadikan hasil peternakan, pertanian, sebagai daya tarik bagi wisatawan. Seperti Desa Pelaga, Plaga adalah sebuah desa berbukit, terletak sekitar 45 kilometer sebelah utara Denpasar. Pelaga menawarkan agro wisata yang sangat menarik dengan ekologinya yang indah dan alami. Harapannya petani bisa lebih kreatif  mengelola usaha taninya sehingga mampu menghasilkan produk yang menyentuh hati wisatawan.

            Pengembangan agrowisata memberikan dampak positif bagi masyarakat yaitu terciptanya komunikasi antara petani dengan wisatawan dan bisa belajar sedikit tentang budaya asing dari wisatawan tersebut. Petani juga bisa mengelola usaha taninya sehingga dapat memberikan pengalaman bagi wisatawan. Dari segi ekonomi para petani bisa menjual hasil pertaniannya seperti sayur, buah dan bunga yang akan diserap oleh hotel dan restoran dengan harga yang memadai tentu akan sangat membantu pendapatan para petani. Bagi wisatawan dapat memperoleh pengalaman yang baru bagaimana cara bertani, berkebun maupun yang lainnya yang belum pernah mereka alami di negara asalnya yang akan memberikan kepuasan yang luar biasa bagi wisatawan itu sendiri.

Beberapa dampak negatif yang ditimbulakn oleh Agrowisata ini seperti: dampak negatif terhadap Lingkungan. Dampak terhadap lingkungan ini desebabkan oleh kurang kesadarannya para pengembangan wisata agro itu sendiri terhadap kelestarian lingkungan. Ini terlihat dari semakin banyaknya wisatawan yang berkunjung ke daerah agrowisata, para pengelola agro tidak lagi menghiraukan kelestarian, dan menjaga wisata agro ini agar tetap menjadi wisata yang berkelanjutan. Karena mereka hanya berorientasi pada finansial semata. Bagi masyarakat dampaknya adalah bisa saja masyarakat meniru gaya hidup wisatawan asing seperti hal kecil saja, cara berpakean orang asing yang serba minim ditiru oleh kaum remaja yang biasanya tidak sesuai dengan waktu dan tempatnya.

Agrowisata Plaga ini memberikan keuntungan bagi pariwisata, karena dapat meminimalisir dampak negatif dari mass tourism karena sudah adanya pengembangan dan pelestarian lingkungan dalam wujud pariwisata Agro. Dari segi ekonomi memberikan keuntungan berupa pemerataan pendapatan yang tidak hanya terpusat pada pariwisata mass tourism tapi juga bagi masyarakat itu sendiri.

Untuk menuju Desa Plaga, di mana Jembatan Tukad Bangkung itu berada, dari Kota Denpasar keluar melalui Jalan Ahmad Yani, ikuti saja jalan ini lurus ke arah utara dan hanya perlu belok ke kiri di pasar Desa Mambal. Setelah itu, hanya mengikuti jalan besar saja untuk sampai di Desa Plaga. Jembatan Tukad Bangkung menghubungkan dua bukit yang sangat tinggi, sehingga kita serasa di awang-awang ketika berada di atas jembatan. Saya rada-rada ngeri ketika memandang sungai yang ada di bawah jembatan. Sungai yang berkelok-kelok bagai ular ini kelihatan sangat kecil karena jembatan yang begitu tinggi. Namun, pemandangan di kanan kiri jembatan sangat indah dan menyejukkan mata. Di satu sisi kita bisa melihat lembah yang hijau, di sisi lain ada gunung yang tinggi menjulang dan langit biru di atasnya. Di sekitar Jembatan Tukad Bangkung terdapat beberapa warung yang menjual makanan dan minuman ringan. Jadi Anda tak perlu khawatir akan kelaparan atau kehausan bila mengunjungi jembatan ini. Rekreasi dapat dilakukan baik di dalam kawasan Bagus Agro Pelaga maupun di luar kawasan. Rekreasi yang ditawarkan meliputi:

- Hiking,Pengunjung dapat berjalan kaki (hiking) di dalam kawasan agro sambil menikmati pemandangan berbagai macam sayuran, buah, bunga, ternak dan kolam ikan. Setelah itu pengunjung dapat beristirahat di saung-saung yang disediakan sambil menikmati makanan atau minuman yang dipesan sebelumnya.

- Tour mengelilingi properti dengan buggy, tour ini menggunakan buggy yang tidak berisik. Selama perjalanan, petugas agro menjelaskan mengenai tanaman yang dibudidayakan di sekitar areal agro.

- Cycling, dapat dilakukan luar kawasan agro, yakni di sekitar Desa Tihingan di sebelah barat kawasan Bagus Agro Pelaga, dimana terdapat jalan aspal berliku-liku, perkampungan, pertanian yang menyajikan pemandangan indah.

- Bird watching, berbagai burung juga hidup di sana, jadi selain menikmati pemandangan alam sekitar tamu juga dapat menonton burung – burung bernyanyi. Kegiatan ini terutama dapat dilakukan pada waktu subuh.

- Children playground, disediakan bagi pengunjung yang datang dengan putra-putrinya. Tempat bermain anak-anak dibuat sedemikian rupa sehingga anak-anak bisa lebih dekat dengan alam,misalnya bermain petak umpet di sela-sela pepohonan.

B. Restoran:
            Restoran hanya beroperasi pada siang hari saja, buka untuk lunch.Untuk group besar, lunch bisa disajikan di Terrace Restaurant yang berada di depan Supermarket dengan jenis makanan buffet.

Kapasitas restoran keseluruhan berjumlah 200 seats dengan rincian: 80 seat di 2 buah Restoran Fine Dining Restaurant, 50 seat di Terrace Restaurant dan 40 di beberapa Saung dan sisanya di Wantilan. Menu utama yang disajikan di Main Restaurant dan Saung berupa: Grill, Steamboat dan Salad. Selain itu juga akan diupayakan menyuguhkan menu makanan tradisional spt: bubur tuak, kolak, tape, ancruk, gatuk lendri, jagung manis.

Restoran Utama terdiri atas 2 wing masing-masing dengan kapasitas 40 seat. Wing sebelah kiri (sebelah utara) diperuntukan bagi tamu yang memesan menu steamboat. Sedangkan wing kanan untuk tamu yang memesan menu lainnya. Restoran dibangun pada areal yang paling tinggi di kawasan Bagus Agro Pelaga sehingga para tamu dapat menyaksikan pemandangan areal kebun bunga, buah dan sayur yang menarik serta pemandangan tiga gunung yang mempesona yakni Gunung Agung, Abang dan Batur. Di dalam restoran tersedia bahan makan yang dijual dalam plastik dan pengunjung dapat memasaknya sendiri di salah satu Saung atau dimasakkan oleh cook Bagus Agro Pelaga. Bahan makanan yang dapat dipilih pengunjung untuk dimasak antara lain: Grill dan Steamboat. Sedangkan untuk tamu rombongan bisa disajikan buffet. Minuman yang disediakan di sini 99% merupakan minuman sehat dari bahan alami dicampur dengan rempah-rempah berkhasiat.

C. Villa/ Farm House:
Villa atau “farm house” dibangun di perbatasan kawasan areal konservasi dan areal kebun berjumlah 4 buah dengan satu buah kolam renang yang dapat digunakan bersama dan diperuntukkan bagi para tamu yang ingin bermalam di kawasan Bagus Agro Pelaga. Villa ini dibangun dengan konsep minimalis sehingga menimbulkan kesan rileks. Dari villa yang dindingnya memakai kaca bening dapat dilihat pemandangan yang menakjubkan ke segala arah, sedangkan di sekeliling villa ditanami pepohonan untuk menjaga privasi penghuni villa.

Jarak dari satu villa dengan villa yang lainnya sekitar 10 m. Pintu masuk (gapura) ke kompleks villa dibuat sedemikian rupa sehinggga mengesankan bahwa di tempat ini pernah ada bangunan tua.
